RBI Receives Bomb Threat; Mumbai Police Steps In

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) received a bomb threat on Friday. The threat was mailed to the bank's official website in Russian language.

A case has been registered against the unknown perpetrator at the Mata Ramabai Marg (MRA Marg) police station.

“A threatening email was received on the official website of Reserve Bank of India. The email was in Russian language, warned to blow up the bank. A case has been registered against unknown accused in Mata Ramabai Marg (MRA Marg) police station. Investigation into the matter is underway,’’ said Zone 1 DCP, Mumbai Police.

Currently, the matter is being investigated by the Mumbai Police.

Previously, six schools in Delhi received bomb threats via mail, which triggered a multi-agency search of premises.
